Back Back World Vision standing for Armenia's most vulnerable 18/06/2025

Eleanor Monbiot, OBE, Regional Director for the Middle East and Eastern Europe at World Vision, shares how the organization’s role in Armenia is evolving as it moves toward a locally led, self-funded model. She reflects on World Vision’s long-standing presence in the country—decades of working alongside vulnerable children and families, often in the most difficult circumstances. Most recently, World Vision Armenia has supported more than 16,000 people displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh, providing urgent help during a time of deep crisis. Eleanor Monbiot emphasizes the importance of systemic change, social inclusion, and close collaboration with local institutions to ensure sustainable impact.
